Top seller at this year’s Grampians Grape Escape!
Our often forgotten, quiet achiever of a wine was a big hit over the weekend at the Grampians Grape Escape. It seems people are enjoying trying the ‘out of the usual box’ varieties. It was our biggest seller of the weekend!
Last year we were honored to pick up a trophy for this Viognier at the Western Victorian Wine Show, ‘Other White Wine and Rose’ section’.
Miners Ridge Vintage 2024
And that’s a wrap for Vintage 2024. After thinking it was going to be an early vintage, turns out it was pretty normal!
The first to be picked this year was the Chardonnay from our newly reworked grafted block. All the newly grafted blocks require handpicking in their first year of production so as not to damage the graft…….. so, a lot more handpicking than normal this year.
The first week also saw us pick some Riesling, a bit of Shiraz and Tempranillo for our new Rose’. It was certainly a busy start to vintage.
Handpicking joy!
The vintage has been amazing and the quality fantastic, but it has not passed without some stress along the way! We dodged a couple of fires and subsequent smoke in the area, a ridiculous amount of rain in 48 hours and the usual attack of the wildlife! Kangaroos and Wallabies have been hungry again this year, but we also had to deal with birds who were out to do their worst!

Wine Tasting Room
We will be open for wine tastings on Friday, Saturday and Monday between 11-4pm. $5 tasting fee applies for tasting up to 8 wines.
