Made from grapes from a select part of our home block vineyard this wine is a great example of what this site can produce. Aged in French oak it has all the pepper, spice, dark fruits, and silky tannins that persist on the palate.

Alcohol: 14.5%

Color: Mid red scarlet

Bouquet: Rich and intense flavors of blackberry, cassis with hints of black
pepper and chocolate/ fennel. Fruit flavors balanced by a long finish and fine
tannins that will further integrate with age.

Palate: Peppery spice with red cherry and blueberries that dominate with
silky tannins that persist.

Vintage: A cool climate growing season this wine is showing all the characteristics of a true cool climate Grampians Shiraz.

Seriously peppery and seriously good. Black cherry, licorice and plum characters come rolled in sweet, woodsy, peppery spice, soy and fragrant herb notes tagging along for the ride. The length is sound and satisfying but the excitement here is all about the flavour profile. This is a beautiful wine.

Gorgeously styled and elegantly expressed, the wine shows sweet plum, raspberry, baking spice, tapenade, and roasted nut aromas on the nose. The palate presents a beautifully rounded mouthfeel and fleshy texture, wonderfully framed by layers of polished tannins, making it sturdy yet harmonious and lingering with complex flavours.
